I'm glad that I was persuaded by all the good reviews. This book is worth getting because I noticed right away that the author made sure the book How to Get taller contains tips that are practical and easy to follow. He also gave realistic goals that can be achieved and stressed that hard work is the key because these tips don't work overnight. The book gave a good explanation on how even in adulthood, people can still grow taller. That is when he explained the presence of the Human growth syndrome (HGH). The book made me understand this hormone that our body has. I was surprised on how the most simple thing such as getting quality sleep can trigger production of these hormones. I feel that I tend to overlook this 1 important tip. HGH peeks during deep sleep so the book gave pointers on how to achieve it. The most practical way I gathered was to pay extra attention to your sleeping posture. I also tried the relaxation exercises provided in achieving the deep sleep. One more thing mentioned in the book is having the proper nutrition. This does not just help with growing taller but also having a balanced diet. I like how he had a column for all the vitamins, their uses and sources. It gives a simple but easy to understand. My favorite part of the book is the Stretching exercises. There were three stages and I am on the intermediate stage already. I did all the amateur and intermediate exercises already and I see results right away. I love doing the "chicken wing" exercise a lot. It was fun to do and I really feel a good stretch every time I do it. I am on my way to the advanced stage and I feel that my posture improved right away. I still have a couple of weeks to go to finish all the exercises but I am on the right path. As stated in the book perseverance is the key to the success of these exercises BUT I should still know not to push myself too much. I am happy with the results from everything I learned from this book and I highly recommend it to those who are willing and determined to work hard to achieve their goal!

Maybe the common method is the one that works, he emphasizes on putting a commitment to do what you need to do. Eventually day after day the tiny growths add up and the result will come, not unlike the fish tank effect which is when you add few drops of water it seems like nothing is happening but if you stick to it everyday and eventually the fish tank will be filled up!

We are both petite, so the thought that we could add a couple of inches to our frames excited us. We didn't grow any taller, but that was largely because we didn't do the exercises. How To Grow Taller by David Taylor is a great little read on gaining up to 4 inches in height, but I read it more for the amazingly detailed exercises that stretch, pull, and extend the body. It's written simply, with instructions that are very easy to follow, and drawings that aid the reader to follow along. It's worth the price just for the section talking about HGH or the Human Growth Hormone. It emphasizes the need for sleep, as the hormone acts at its peak when one is asleep. I recommend buying it if you intend to follow it all the way through. But the price tag is very much worth it for the diet & exercise tips alone. Gaining an extra 4 inches would just be the icing on the cake.

Where he gets his claims from is unknown because he doesn't provide a source. Very often he seems to be So the description of the book stating that: "David takes you to the thrilling edge of scientific discoveries" is totally misleading and is actually false.
It's just filled with some general facts such as to grow you need to make sure your body has enough vitamins, minerals and proteins, sleep well, exercise.
His set of exercises is taken from yoga for beginners. These are some simple stretches yogis do their whole life. Or even non yogis do in a gym before/after workout. If these exercises really did increase your height you would hear about this. Have you ever heard that anybody going to the gym or doing yoga managed to increase their height beyond natural level?
Another thing the author claims is that you can grow taller by increasing human growth hormone (HGH) production in your body and that it is supported by science. He also gives some basic "scientific" explanation that bones really grow given proper stimulation from HGH. Which contradicts the results of the scientific research conducted by renowned experts in the field that HGH does not do anything for the growth of the bones after puberty as the bone plates are closed and are turned into solid bones. And this is the only channel through which bones could grow. The book automatically lost all credibility to me after reading this.
As an example also proving that it is wrong is the fact that HGH is sometimes administered into body by weightlifters. Many of them already eat healthy food and also consume lots of proteins, vitamins and minerals to help their body increase the muscle mass. I haven't heard of any cases of these weightlifters or bodybuilders getting taller as a result.
I also suspect that many of the positive reviews are fake and were written by his friends (or maybe bought).
This book is a waste of time...

Format: KindleVerified PurchaseHelpful tips to grow taller after puberty. Better try to follow the instructions and foods are suggested in this book rather taking any height increase pills. You may notice that only height increasing pills are sold online. You may not find them in any outlets or where sales drugs. They know it very well that these pills are waste of money and time. They play with short people emotion nothing else. Even though I have tried myself that's why I am telling you. So balance diet and sound sleep and stretching exercises may help you to grow taller within 3-4 months time. But we don't have patience to follow this routine for 4 months that's why we choose shortcut ways to grow taller.

Format: KindleVerified PurchaseWhat's this? Just completed the book and all I could see everywhere was.. 'of course,this is not the complete set of exercises '. Infact only two from each mentioned stage. Rather than including all exercises in one, most are deliberately left out for another book it asks to purchase every next page via a direct link to Amazon.com. Rest of the things are okay but exercises make up the most important part of any health schedule and it misses that exclusively. Obsolete purchase. Worst part is, the book it asks to buy is not even available for purchase in my country. Don't buy.
