I purchased a straightener just like this about 7 years ago in Singapore when I lived there for six months, as Asia promptly fried the straightener I brought with me, even with a converter on the outlet. I got a good five years out of it before it stopped working. I just spent a few months traveling across seven countries and needed something that I could count on to work anywhere, so I invested in this bad boy again. So glad I did. Works SO well. I actually have kept using it at home instead of my regular straightener because this does a better job. I don't use it for the drying capability much, but there were a few times where I was stuck without a blowdryer and I was able to use this on my wet hair, because it sucks the moisture out of the hair while it's straightening. I LOVE THIS THING. I've straightened my hair since I was 14 and using an actual iron on my hair (I know I'm not the only one who did that!) and this is the best straightener I think I've ever owned. Great price, great value, you won't be disappointed.

Jose Eber wet dry straightening iron is my favorite hair care tool.
I have really thick and long hair and blow drying and then flattening is at least an hour long process, usually longer. I tried another brand of this type of straughtener and it seemed to stop working and left my hair kind of limp but frizzy. I remember back when I was younger watching Jose Eber makeovers on tv and I always loved them. He has fabulous talent and great choices in hats. I jumped on the chance to try this product honestly on name brand alone. I am due for a haircut and color so I was hoping this would smooth out the frizz and the split ends. I tried it without product and on damp hair. You have to make sure and read the instructions because it is very important that you set the heat to the amount of moisture in your hair. If it is too dry and you use the highest setting then you can damage your hair. I was able to get through my hair within a half hour and it was very smooth and shiny. I think people might be skeptical of using a straightener before blow drying but I love it and encourage anyone to try it. I also really like this one much more than my drugstore brand one. It also comes with a lifetime warranty. I purchased this product at a promotional rate and this review is my unbiased opinion.
