- Reviewed in the United States on December 3, 2013Style: EP-560 Ltd.Verified PurchaseI have some back problems... 4 herniated discs in my spine. My doctors always recommend me to find ways to stretch my back to alleviate the potential pain. I was thinking of buying a inversion table or some equipment of the kind but I kept on delaying it. Now it is done with this table.
It came pretty fast, a big box, large and pretty heavy.
It took me about a hour to mount it. I took my time doing it... All the tools are in the box to do it. Being two may be better than alone to install it because there are heavy pieces to move around. The instructions are there too but I did not find them very useful at times. Do pay attention while doing it because there are possibilities to assemble things the wrong way.
The way it works is by playing with your center of gravity. You have to set the table for your height or for an height that, once laying perfectly flat with your arms crossed on your chest, your body pivots automatically to the back.
Then by just moving your arms, you can play with your inclination until you get to fully reversed and literally hanging from your ankles. In consequence, do make sure your ankles are secured tight.
It works quite well. I had to set my height to taller than I normally am but I have now no fear of being stuck hanging.
What's to like:
- Works well to invert you
- Steady enough to allow you working on your abs or stretching
- Make you feel secure when using it
What I like less:
- Bulky, even when folded and very heavy
- Acupressure Nodes useless gimmick (some are really painful because too hard, some others do not stay put)
- My setup does not follow the guidelines to keep me fully inverted (there are 3 holes and the only that works for me and all who tried it at my place is for weights superior to 230 Lbs)
- It is easy to make a mistake during the montage. Make sure everything aligns properly.
Bottom line, It is a good inversion table. Since I do not want to break my neck trying to fix it, I am ok to live with the bulk generated by the solidity of the table. Anything capable of injuring you deserves a fair investment to insure best quality and security.
I feel that this table respect the the safety rules.
Now, staying hung gets painful for your ankles after a while. I may need a bit of time to get used to it but after a couple of minutes, I always start feeling some pain in my ankles and I know it is time.
Results wise, it is too early for me to tell. All I can say is that the blood rush I feared is not there nor the dizziness after coming back up. I would definitely recommend it to anyone suffering of pinched nerves (herniated discs). Ask your doctor first before attempting if you really are in pain.
Edit 03/13/14
I am coming for an update. Everything works fine, nothing broke or went bad since my last review. With the time the use gets easier and everyone coming to my place tried it at least once :) Now is it really making me feel better? I cannot really tell... It can be relaxing for sure but I think I would need to stay longer than a minute at a time to get any real benefit, the time to really relax all your muscles and let the gravity do its job in stretching you. It could take a while to get used to staying inverted 10mn or more... So my conclusion for the moment is that the table needs a proper and dedicated use to bring benefits. Otherwise it is just a fun toy. I have decided to increase its rating to 5 stars because the bulk and weight are actually reassuring (even if it is a pain to move it around) and because to get you inverted safely this product is great!
- Reviewed in the United States on March 11, 2016Style: EP-860 Ltd.Verified PurchaseI had heard of inversion tables, but never used one until my father acquired a used one a few months ago. I tried it and then used it every few weeks. The results seemed promising. I caught the Teeter EP-560 Ltd. Inversion Table with Back Pain Relief Kit and Bonus Accessories on a lightning deal and decided to give it a shot. I'm mid-40's as of this review and I'm beginning to experience the typical office worker back problems including muscle spasms, mostly between my shoulder blades. I was particularly interested in the acupressure nodes that this model offers. The combination of inversion and acupressure made the value proposition for me.
I'm writing about three weeks after taking delivery. The assembly is easy. There are maybe five major sub-assemblies to put together. I only referenced the printed instructions. There was no need to watch the video. The Teeter is indeed high quality as I had read about in other reviews both on Amazon and other sites.
I am super happy with the results of inversion therapy! The best way I can describe it is that my back feels like it did "pre 40". Which is I really didn't notice it. More flexibility, no pain. Everyone's mileage will vary of course, but it has really helped me. I have not had a bad episode with muscle spasms since I started using the table, so I have not made a good faith effort to try the acupressure nodes. I have installed them and done some experimenting. I'm glad to have that option when I need them, but for now they haven't been as useful as I thought. This could actually be a result of what the inversion therapy is doing (stretching is relieving the muscles and therefore fewer "knots"), but I'm not sure at t his point.
I subscribe to the line of thinking that "humans are not broken" and that our (normal, non-diseased) bodies will generally take care of themselves. It's just that we bombard them with bad food, poor posture for hours on end, and other things that they really weren't meant to deal with (ref. Paleo lifestyle). Inversion therapy is a lifestyle tweak to let you get better blood flow between the vertebrae in your back. Blood flow heals. Simple as that. You really need to own an inversion table and be able to use it often to get the best benefit from my experience (or have a generous next-door neighbor!)
My biggest concerns before making the purchase were cost and the amount of space this thing would take up in my house. With the lightning deal I feel like I got good value, especially with all the features this unit offers. As for space, it does take up a significant area when in use, but it is nothing like the commitment that a treadmill is. When folded, it fits in a corner and is not noticeable. It's about 75lb. Not insignificant, but it's movable by most people, especially if you "walk it". The results are WELL worth both the initial purchase price and the space that it occupies. I would not hesitate to recommend inversion therapy to most people (do your own research and ask your doctor, especially if you have eye issues), and I am very impressed with the Teeter unit.
Thanks for reading and I hope this was helpful!

5.0 out of 5 stars 2 Week Review + 3 Month Review + 18 Month Review
Style: EP-560 Ltd.Verified PurchaseI started with a back strain that was over a month old and kept reoccurring, sciatica that was beginning to become a regular issue and an overall bad mood from constantly being on painkillers. 2 weeks on and I have no back strain, no sciatica and no painkillers. The back strain was gone in 3 days, the sciatica in around a week and the painkillers were gone a few days later. If you can afford it get the lumbar bridge, you won’t regret it.
I’ve used the table at no more than a 45 degree angle so far as my back has been dodgy my whole life, I don’t want to over stress it. 45 degrees was more than enough, some days I just laid flat on the lumbar bridge, such a good feeling to be able to just separate the spine for 5-10mins.
In all honesty I use it so little I kind of feel like I’ve paid a lot of money for a one wear prom dress but I have to remind myself that if and when I hurt my back, this thing will be amazing, again. I’ll continue to use it to lay and relax on, it’s reeeeaaaallllyyyy nice.
3 Month Review:
Just WOW! I'm a physically different person now, seriously! I've tweaked my back a couple of time in the last 3 months and both times during the week, when I literally have time for 5 minutes on it before bed. On both occasions what would have been at least two weeks of pain turned into 1 day of pain until I got home and another of a little soreness. After that my back was like nothing had happened. This thing will be with me for the rest of my life.
18 Month Review:
I haven’t HAD to use it for over a year now. I have used it but to relax, and shut the missus up about it lying around not being used. I’ll toss her before I toss this lmao...
For what it’s worth, I actually had a herniated disk in my lower back. Not anymore.

5.0 out of 5 stars So far so good....
Style: EP-560 Ltd.Verified PurchaseI bought the teeter inversion table as a gift for my mom, here is her review:
I am a 48 year old woman, who is/was in good physical condition. I was diagnosed with Degenerative Disc Disease (DDD) of the L5-S1. I as also have a herniated disc at L3- L4 and Sacro-iliac pain. I have suffered tremendous pain for over 15 years. The last 2yrs have been horrendous however. I was instructed by my doctors to stopped jogging, skiing and almost all sports and activities necessitating bending or twisting of the spine. Pain is so difficult to describe as it is as unique as each one of us. For me my pain Is there as soon as my lower back muscles are in a resting or laying down position. It’s like my vertebrae stiffens up and getting up without support is simply impossible. I must NOT put any weight on my spine or surrounding muscles after they have relaxed. Pulling myself in the standing position is so painful and so scary, I feel like I am going to paralyse if I attempt it. It truly feels like someone has stabbed me in my lower spine. Turning in my sleep during the night is just excruciating. In order to get dressed In the morning, I stack my clothes next to me on my night table the night before, and I get dressed in the AM while laying on my back, legs up with my feet in the air. I don’t drink anything past 17:00 for fear of having to get up to pee in the middle of the night. God forbid should I sneeze or cough. Thank goodness, the pain does subside after about 15 minutes of moving about s l o w l y ... Then, once the DDD pain dissipates, I am left with the Sacro-iliac pain, that is constant 24/7. I have tried numerous attempts at fixing and relieving the pain. (Doctors, Anti-inflamation meds, osteopath, chiropractor, acupuncture, physiotherpay, therapeutic massages), to no avail. Acupuncture helped the most, but it doesn’t fix the issue, just helps me manage the pain.
Then came the teeter.... My son got me this odd looking thing for Christmas. My husband put it together in about 40 minutes (easy peasy if you follow the instructions, WATCH THE DVD PEOPLE!!!). He adjusted the inversion table to my height and weight and I started hanging upside down at the 40% incline right away. From the get go I felt surprised at the relief I felt. I feel more mobile after a 3 minute session. I have been using it for two weeks now. Much to my surprise, my sacro-iliac pain seems to be gone 90% of the time. I am afraid to say that out loud, lol...
My DDD pain is alright. It feels different, but I don’t want to comment as of yet as it is too soon to write about. I guess when I get to 90 degree incline, I will update my comments. I am taking it slowly as my condition is severe. All in all I see the benefits of this machine. It re-energizes me some. My physiotherapists agrees if I feel better to keep using it.
Storage: it stores well. I fold it up after each use (lack of space ). I wobble it back against a wall. I am a small person and have no issues opening and closing it.
Because of my specific condition, after hanging like a bat for 5 minutes, getting back into the standing position has to be done in steps. Standing upright would put the weight of my body on my back vertebrae’s and I simply cannot do that. So, I stay in the in level position or 0 degree position for a minute and then stand back up with legs slightly bent for another few minutes. The hardest part for me, is getting the feet clasp undone. It’s simply too much bending and I cannot do on my own. So I ask the hubby to standby in order to help me out of the contraption. I really recommend this inversion table. I am certain I am just scratching the surface at this point. For once, I feel like there is possibly a light at the end of my dark tunnel.
Thanks Mr Teeter for this invention.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Inversion Table but Teeter could have a bit Better Customer Service
Style: EP-560 Ltd.Verified PurchaseTeeter Hang Ups EP-560 Ltd Inversion Table w/ bonus Acupressure Nodes & Lumbar Bridge
-
This is not a whimsical review. I conducted a lot of research and used the equipment extensively before writing this review so I hope it might help you in some way, shape, or form. After years of testimonials, watching infomercials, claims of health benefits, desire to improve posture, speaking to chiropractors & doctors, watching vampires hang upside down in movies, etc, etc, etc, I for many years considered getting a Teeter inversion table. I put an enormous amount of trust into everything Teeter claimed over many years, bit the bullet, recently finally took the plunge, and ordered the EP-560 from Amazon. Here are SOME benefits:
1) Consider the inversion table an exercise machine that rejuvenates you & your well being, re-energizes you, provides a workout for your back, and in the fully inverted position sit-ups are extremely effective.
2) Using it only a few minutes a day will improve your posture within weeks if not days, as well as your back, and flatten your stomach.
3) It elongates your life, improves your lungs & breathing, and your abdomen also gets a workout.
4) I consulted with some chiropractors and doctors who highly recommend it.
5) Using it regularly just makes you feel better all around and improves your physique.
6) My favorite method of use is to invert around 70 degrees for a few minutes, relax and get a good stretch, etc, then 90 degrees for a few minutes, and then fully invert for around 5 minutes, while doing some twists, sit-ups, and other exercises, in the fully inverted position.
7) My apartment is around ~1000 square feet so before ordering I was concerned about how much space it might take up. I keep the fully assembled inversion table up in my small guest bedroom which btw has in it quite a bit of other furniture (sofa, desk, chest of drawers, night table), and surprisingly the space it takes up is fine. If you want to store it, just plop off the bed, fold up the stand, and stick both in a closet, under a bed, or lean them against a wall. IMO it's a bit too "industrial looking" for a living room but it'd be pretty cool if Teeter developed a model that meshed with living room decor.

I really wanted to give the EP-560 a 5-star rating which for me implies "close to perfection", or at minimum 4 stars, but unfortunately I feel compelled to give it only 3.5 stars. This review is based on a combination of the EP-560 itself, as well as the Teeter company.
Amazon absolutely deserves 5 stars for its customer service and handling of this product, however with respect to the EP-560 itself and the Teeter brand wrt to its products in general, they are definitely the best inversion tables and highest rated in the market, but having been in business for around 30 years, I feel that Teeter could do a better job in getting its act together a bit better.
1) First off it is clear from the title and description that this EP-560 is advertised with bonus Acupressure Nodes & Lumbar Bridge. The item did not ship with these accessories which a few other reviews also state, Teeter promised to send them, and 2 weeks later they are still yet to be received.
2) Assembly definitely does not take only 20 minutes as claimed and stated in instructions, especially if you've never assembled one before. Also, with the prospect of hanging upside down should one really rush to get everything fully assembled in 20 mins??? Not that anyone that is new could do it in that time anyway. It seems irresponsible for Teeter to make this claim. Many other Amazon reviews also state it takes much longer. Folks - TAKE YOUR TIME assembling the table -- READ the instructions, WATCH the video, learn how all the parts work & fit together, make sure everything is correctly positioned, tightened appropriately, etc.
3) Teeter advertises and strongly emphasizes the durability, quality, and strength, of its components. There are some components, parts, bolts, screws, that are not as strong & durable as claimed. In fact, parts of the steel//table started to compress when tightening the bolts, and some other nuts & bolts almost got stripped. Also one screw, albeit not a critical one nor one that is important, has never been installed.
4) A very common complaint of many folks is that they feel some discomfort & pain in their Ankles & Feet while inverted. After around 30 years in business could Teeter not develop a better system to address this as a STANDARD component that ships with the product? I find it MUCH MORE COMFORTABLE to wear socks which is much less painful than wearing sneakers as suggested by Teeter in all its instructions which emphasizes wearing running shoes or tennis shoes. Also, I don't like snapping the assembly tightly around my ankles - in fact it's much nicer pretty LOOSE - don't worry you'll still remain secure. I found an article on the web pasted here:
"Tip #1 - Wear Socks While Inverting - While most people will recommend wearing shoes, one of the most comfortable ways of inverting is actually to wear only regular length socks on your feet. This will give you some cushioning between your feet/ankles and the ankle padding, making inversion much more comfortable.
Wearing shoes, on the other hand, has one downfall - it can end up putting more stress on your ankles and make it more uncomfortable. While this is not true with everyone, many people have found that they are even less comfortable wearing shoes than simply inverting with bare feet".
5) Now for the Tether Strap - why does it allow for ONLY 60 degrees of inversion? As you become more and more accustomed to inversion, but still not full inversion, and you feel more comfortable using the tether strap, you'd like to invert greater than just 60 degrees. The tether strap could EASILY offer more than just 60 degrees inversion and this would be such an EASY FIX for Teeter -- just make them longer!!!
6) Next, I was expecting much better knowledge from Teeter's Customer Service. I asked them very simple questions which after around 30 years they should be able to address right off the top of their heads. For example, I asked what Teeter's comments are about "blood going to your head"? All they could speak about was the table itself and its use which did not address my question. After around 30 years in the business of inversion, Teeter cannot train it's folks to comment on blood pressure??? Here's a snippet of an article I found written by Dr. Bryant:
"Bryant: "These have been marketed to people with back problems and for exercise. When the body is inverted, or turned over, the spine supposedly gets some relief from stress of gravity. People perform abdominal exercises and others from the inverted position". "The blood pressure in your eyes and blood vessels in the head and neck area are increased, which could be dangerous for individuals with heart disease, stroke, or glaucoma risk factors."
7) Another question I had for Teeter's customer service was: "Are you aware of any circumstances when folks have not used the table correctly or things that led to other issues"? Again Teeter's customer service just commented on the product and how to use it. I was astonished that after around 30 years in business Teeter could not comment on JUST ONE ISSUE a person might have had. Here's a snippet of an article I found written by Dr. Fichera:
"Fichera: "I was advised never to exercise in the inverted position. Inversion puts a lot of pressure on the lower back. Men especially have this problem because they hold a huge portion of their weight in the upper body region. When they are inverted, the pressure shifts to the lower body, which can put pressure on the spine. For a certain percentage of the population, this could be very hazardous. There are other ways to strengthen the spinal muscles."
After 30+ years customer service reps at Teeter are not able to address ONLY ONE issue that customers might have had??? What about discomfort in the ankles & feet?
8) Finally, please don't take this review the wrong way - I'm NOT dissing the table per se - but there are some processes or things that could be improved after around 30 years in business. There are numerous pros - health benefits, best rated, glowing reviews, highly recommended, and the machine is sturdy & aesthetically pleasing versus other brands. I enjoy the table and will keep it but do have a tiny bit of remorse on not buying one that would suffice while saving a couple $100 bucks.
Many of you might consider the shortcomings I stated rather trivial, and you are correct that the benefits far outweigh the issues mentioned, but in my opinion it's perplexing that after around thirty years in business, shortcomings that MUST be known and could easily be addressed are not, hence the 3.5 star rating.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome results, quick and easy assembly.
Style: EP-560 Ltd.Verified PurchaseOnly had it for a day but my back feels better already.
I Had to mention because I seen a lot of reviews that said the assembly took longer than the 15-20 minutes they suggest. Because of that kept track of my time. Here was my experience.
Step 1. Opened the box unpacked all the materials and removed all packaging. (about 5 Minutes)
Step 2. Took some time and removed all the packaging and had a clean work area, (about 5 Minutes)
Step 3. Scanned through the DVD. I literally fast forwarded through most of the DVD hitting play occasionally at what seemed essential parts (about 5 minutes. if you watched the whole thing it would probably take about 15 minutes.)
Step 4. Assembled the table. (about 5 Minutes) Really, the actual assembly took about 5 minutes.
a) There are 6 screws 3 for each stretch bar and 2 more already threaded you have to tighten.
b) You attach the two adjustable "pivot arms" I will call them which is just a clamp you flip to one side.
c) You place the table on to the frame. It just slides in to two slots and locks in automatically.
d) Then you attach the "foot bar" I will call it. Which just slides up a tube on the table and locks by a pin.
e) Velcro the head rest on the table and your DONE.
It was that easy, I have no idea what those other people were talking about when they say that it could not be put together in 15-20 minutes. Well they were right in a way.... it only took 5.
I took another 5 minutes to adjust and balance it properly for my height and weight. Easy to adjust and covered in the DVD.

2.0 out of 5 stars Disappointed
Style: EP-860 Ltd.Verified PurchaseWith all the hype and marketing you would think this one is miles ahead of the competition. Well I tried cheaper ones and figured "if the cheaper ones are ok, maybe the more expensive one's claims are true and not just empty boasting". In my opinion, this one is no better, and in a few ways inferior to cheaper models I have used. One positive thing I did like about it is how far back it goes allowing you to completely free hang if you want (which I did not notice if the other models from other companies did), but this thing is super awkward to set to the correct height, then you have to set it to an inch more or an inch less than your actual height (so if you are 6' even, you need to set the machine to 5'11'' or something like that. why not make the height, the actual height?). And not only is it more awkward to set than other models, it has less room so your arms are always hitting these little metal bars unless you are careful, and even when it is set right (I think, I have watched the video and it hasn't made anything easier) it is still difficult to get it to move where you want it. For example, if you are inclined and want to go back upright you have to sort of strain and climb out of the position you are in.
I was so disappointed with it that after reading the positive reviews, I was sure there is probably a good percentage of them who gave it a good review out of embarrassment; not wanting to admit they spent That Much Money on something that isn't worth it.
Bottom line. Save your money and go for the amazon one for about 100$, or the iron something one (its grey and about 300$ and better than this one by far).
I would give it 2.5 stars. Passable, but not worth the money by a long shot.
