Former British army lance corporal Martin Tye is paralyzed from his lower knee towards the downward direction. But his disability has no way stopped him from setting world records. He is high on motivation and setting and achieving fitness goals.
He recently completed a historic 505 kg (1113 pound) deadlift. This earned him an entry into new Guinness World Record.

He has been dealing with his paralyzed feet and life-changing injury since 2009. In 2009, a suicide car bomber drove into his vehicle back in Afghanistan. He suffered serious injuries in his lungs and back. But he felt no sensation beneath his knees. He was quite shaken and in shock after the accident.

But then he gathered himself back and started to realize that sports in something which will uplift his spirits. That’s when he started to take a deep interest in lifting.

Other than that, he is also into Invictus game twice. He won medals for indoor rowing, wheelchair rugby, and wheelchair basketball.

He plans to participate in the world strongest disabled man competition which will be held in June. He also plans to attempt for an atlas stone record in the coming months.
