The 2019 Asian Athletics Championship is the 23rd edition of this game. It was being held at Doha from 21st to 24th April.
India gained a prestigious fourth spot at the Asian Athletics Championship. India won 17 medals including 3 gold medals. This is undoubtedly the country’s best performance in the past years.
3 gold medals were won by two women and one man. Here also women are heading ahead of men. PU Chitra won women 1500 meters race. While Chitra was successful to defend her last year record. Chitra overtook Bahraini runner minutes before the race was about to be concluded.
