Egg white

This is very rich in proteins and vitamin A which clears the blemishes on your skin and tightens your skin while reducing the amount of oil from your skin

How to use it

  • Whip an egg white and apply it on your face evenly. let it dry and wash it off with lukewarm water. Use this treatment twice a week.
  • Whip and egg white and mix some lemon juice (half lemon) to it. Apply this mixture on your face and let it dry. Wash it off with lukewarm water to get oil free and tight skin.

Lemon juice

Lemon is known for its skin care properties with its effective lightening and brightening effect. It also works as an antiseptic and astringent which reduces the microbial growth on skin.

How to use it

  • Take one tablespoon of fresh lemon juice and dilute it with one and half tablespoon of water. Apply it on your face with a cotton ball and let it dry for ten minutes. Wash it off with lukewarm water. Apply an oil free moisturizer after this treatment.
  • Mix 1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice, 1 and half tablespoon of honey and 1 tablespoon of milk to make a paste. Apply it on your face evenly and let it dry for 15 minutes. Rinse it off with cold water. Do it once daily for effective results.

Yogurt

This is another common ingredient in your kitchen which is very beneficial for your skin as it helps in exfoliating the skin and absorbing excessive oil from it.

How to use it

  • Take one tablespoon of yogurt and apply it thoroughly on your face and neck. Leave it for 15 minutes and rinse it off with cold water. Do it once daily.
  • Make a paste by mixing 1 tablespoon of yogurt and same amount of finely grounded oatmeal with 1 tablespoon of warm honey. Apply this paste on your face and let it dry for 15 minutes. Wash it off with lukewarm water.

Milk

Everybody has this in their kitchen and use it every day. This is very rich in proteins which nourishes your skin, gently exfoliate it with its Alpha Hydroxy Acid and make it supple while restoring the natural balance.

How to use it

Mix 2-3 drops of lavender or sandalwood oil to 2 tablespoon of milk and apply it on your face at night. Gently massage the skin so that it can absorb the applied content. Wash it off with cold water in morning. Use this treatment daily to get a oil free but nourished skin.

Apple Cider Vinegar

It has antibacterial properties which helps in treatment of acne caused by the oil skin. It is also rich in Alpha Hydroxy Acid (AHA) which moisturizes the skin and tone it. If you don’t have apple cider vinegar then you can also use white vinegar as an alternative.

How to use it

  • Dilute the vinegar by adding 3/4th of water to 1/4th of vinegar. Apply it on your face with a cotton ball and let it dry for 10 minutes. Rinse it off with cold water.
  • Mix 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar in a glass of water. Drink it before going to bed. This treatment will balance the hormones which will reduce the oil production in skin.

Tomatoes

It is rich in vitamin C and helps your skin with its cooling effect, clarifying and astringent features. It also helps in reducing acne and excessive oil production from skin.

How to use it

  • Cut a tomato and rub it on your face thoroughly to spread it juice evenly on the skin. Let it dry for ten minutes and then wash it off with cold water. Apply an oil free moisturizer as this treatment will dry the skin a little.
  • You can also make a face mask by mixing 3 tablespoon of fresh tomato juice with 1 tablespoon of honey. Apply it on your face and let it dry. Wash it off with lukewarm water.
